Burleigh Heads is a classic sand-on-rock point break, delivering memorable barrels on thumping southeast groundswell.

The wave quality can be a little dependent on sand buildup, but Burleigh picks up plenty of swell and even onshore days can be a lot of fun. The boulders lining the point are slippery, so you may prefer to paddle out from the cove, but watch out exposed rocks at low tide.
