It took place at Duranbah Beach, Coolangatta - Australia during the 18th and 19th of June 2011 the Jesus Pro Am 2011.

The waves were around 3 foot during the whole sunny weekend and the competiton showed a high level of surfing on all the categories: Open Men, Open Women, Cadet Boys and Cadet Girls with some of the best local surfers showing all their knowledge of the spot.

Also there was an AirShow, sponsored by the JC Epidemic crew, with some impressive airs from the 6 surfers on the heat. Frontside air reverses, ally oops, backside air grabs and all sort of airs, but the winer air was a backside rodeo Clown (Jordy Smith Style) by the "giant" Dru Adler that besides the winning air showed he can do all sort of moves in the air, completing almost every attempt of aerial he had.In second place was Kelly Norris and 3rd Samuel Poncini. Really nice to watch this heat which was packed with action from beggining to end!

The new generation of surfer girls showed some really good surfing out there and Step Single took home the trophy for the Cadet Girls division. In second place was Cali McDonagh, 3rd place went to Jade Wheatley and in 4th place Laura Poncini.

On the Open Women, Audrey Styman-lane got the best waves on the final heat and got 1st place followed by Sophie Callister (2nd), Chiana Ireland (3r) and Codie Klein (4th).

Mitch Parkinson won the Cadet Boys on the final minute shredding his last wave and achieving the scored to beat Tommy Baucout (2nd), Will Morrison (3rd) and Bodi Smith (4th)

And taking home a trip to the Maldives, besides the $1,000.00 cheque, was Mitch Crews who won the Open Men with Nick Squires in second, and equal thirds for Ice Pereira-Ryan and Dave Lovelock.

The organizers of the events kept the beach sand moving with sand castle competition and games for the kids.

The event has the goal to spread the name of Jesus into the surfing community and it has been happening since 2006 ( 1st one in Cronulla). Congratulations to every one involved in the event making such a great atmosphere all through the competition.

Next stop will be at Cronulla Beach on October 8ht - 9th.
