| Praia do Rosa - South of Brazil |
With a laidback atmosphere, Praia do Rosa has what it takes to please different kinds of surfers. The waves start working at less than 3ft and holds up to 10ft+. Situated in the South of Brazil (South America), a Praia do Rosa (Pink's Beach) is a district of Imbituba and only 90 kms from Florianópolis, the capital of the State of Santa Catarina and it is a place where you can surf, party, or maybe do some ecotourism and whale watch or a romantic get away (and you still get to surf!!! ).
Also, Praia do Rosa is a member of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World Club, a non-governmental network which aims to contribute to the preservation of unique bays.
Praia do Rosa Photo Gallery*photos by Douglas Cominski Despite the quick development of the place, Praia do Rosa, it still has dirt streets and part of its wild charm. In the summer time the spot get crowded with tourist from all over Brazil and the world. During the winter is not as crowded but cold fronts hits the Santa Catarina Coast, so pack your wetsuits. Garopaba, one of the best surf cities of Brazil, is not far away, being just 23 kilometers up north.
Praia do Rosa is located within the range of the Southern Right Whale Environment Protection Area (APA Baleia Franca), created in 2000. The whale watching season goes from July to November, with a peak of sightings between the second half of August and the first half of October. Surfing all year round.
